These terms are an agreement between you and [Company name — REPLACE-ME] ("Access", "we") about using the Access app and website. They are written in plain words. Where the law where you live gives you rights these terms cannot take away, such as consumer rights in Sweden and the EU, you keep them.
What Access is
Access helps you find nightlife venues, ask for a guest list, book a table or one seat at a shared table, talk to your table, and show a pass at the door. The venues are real places run by their own operators. Access is not the venue: the venue serves you, runs its door and decides who comes in.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to have an account. A venue or a night may require a higher age.
- You need a phone number you can receive texts on. Before you take a seat, join a guest list or get a door pass, you must pass an ID check with our verification provider.
- One person, one account. Do not share your account or your pass, and do not create another account after being banned.
- Keep your details accurate. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
Bookings and payments
- Real-world bookings are paid outside the App Store. Tables, seats, guest-list confirmations and drinks are services at a physical venue, so they are paid by card through our payment provider, Stripe, not through Apple's In-App Purchase.
- You see the price before you pay. The app shows the price, any Access fee, the most you could be charged, when the charge is taken, and the venue's terms for that night before you confirm.
- Shared tables. When you join a shared table, Access places a hold on your card for the highest share you could pay. When the table closes, Access takes your actual share and releases the rest of the hold. Your share never rises above what you authorised. If the table does not reach the venue's minimum, every hold is released and the table does not run. If more people join after you have paid, the difference comes back to you as credit for that venue that night; credit you do not use is refunded to your card after the night closes.
- Guest lists. Asking for a guest list is free. Where a venue's list asks for a confirmation payment, you are only asked to pay after the venue says yes, and the app tells you before you pay whether that payment is kept if you are not let in.
- Cancellations, no-shows and refunds follow the terms shown for that venue and night before you pay. [Cancellation and no-show policy per market and venue — REPLACE-ME]
- Your bank decides how fast a released hold or a refund shows on your statement.
The door
- The venue decides who comes in. A booking, a guest-list place or a pass is not a promise of entry. Staff check physical ID and may refuse entry for their own reasons, including dress code, capacity, behaviour, intoxication or arriving after the list's cutoff time.
- Access checks each night's door age against your verified date of birth. A venue may also check ID again at the door.
- After a guest-list night the app may ask "Did you get in?". If your name was missing or you were refused, say so there or contact support. Whether money comes back depends on why, as shown before you paid.
How to behave
Table chat, profiles, friend requests and after-party invites are for people meeting up for a night out. You must not:
- harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone;
- post hate or discrimination, sexual content involving anyone without consent, or anything involving a minor;
- buy, sell or offer drugs, weapons, sex or anything illegal, or solicit people;
- spam, scam, or try to move payments for a table outside Access;
- share other people's personal information without their permission;
- encourage anyone to drink too much or drink-drive.
Chat messages are screened automatically for solicitation and flagged for a person to review. Automatic screening never bans anyone on its own.
Reporting and blocking
- Long-press a message in table chat to report it or block the person who sent it. You can also report or block from someone's profile.
- Reports are private: the person is not told who reported them, and a report never changes their star rating. Access reviews every report.
- A block means you will not be seated together again and takes you off each other's after parties. They are not told.
- If you are in danger, contact the venue's staff or the local emergency number (112 in Sweden and the EU) first.
What we may do
If you break these terms, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close your account. A serious report may be shared with the venue's security for that night. We will tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. You can ask us to look again at [support contact — REPLACE-ME].
Responsibility
Venues are responsible for their premises, staff, door decisions, food and drink. Access is responsible for the app and for handling your payments as described here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [Liability wording — REPLACE-ME after counsel review]
Leaving Access
You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Settings > Delete account. What is removed and what is kept is in the privacy policy. Open holds or payments must finish first.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do. [Governing law and disputes — REPLACE-ME; for Swedish consumers, the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) and the EU online dispute resolution platform]
